We have an exciting season lined up.
We kick off Lake Ontario swims with the very accomplished brothers John and Joe Zemaitis from Arizona (over 50 documented international marathon (16 km +) swims) attempting NOTL-MBP July 20 -31 (except for Caribana weekend). If they complete Lake Ontario, they will be the first to complete the Stillwater 8 challenge.
Then Bill Leonard from Ottawa, also an accomplished swimmer, with 5 marathons in Canada and the US to his credit, will be swimming August 3-8.
Greg Maitinsky is going to take another crack at the record on August 17-22 after one successful Lake Ontario crossing in 2022 and three attempts since then.
Lev Goldberg from Toronto, new to marathon swimming, will go right after Greg.
On other Lakes, we have Derek Cresby of Collingwood planning to swim across Nottawasaga Bay of Georgian Bay from Tiny to Collingwood August 2-6.
And last but not least, Dr. Bryan Huffman of Michigan is going to tackle his second and third Great Lakes in pursuit of his dream to swim all 5 Great Lakes. He is tackling Lake Huron July 19-27 and Superior on August 27-31.
